How Solisca Is Made
Step 1 - Harvesting and Sourcing
We hand-select Blue Weber agave from Jalisco’s highlands and lowlands, choosing only the best fully mature plants that have soaked up years of sunlight and volcanic soil.
Step 2 - Slow Roasting
Our piñas are gently roasted in traditional ovens to caramelize their natural sugars—unlocking deep flavor and laying the foundation for Solisca’s warmth.
Step 3 - Extraction
Once softened, the roasted piñas are crushed to release their rich juices—extracting the full essence of the agave without bitterness or waste.
Step 4 – Slow Fermentation
We give the process time to unfold naturally. Using pure spring water and traditional open-air methods, our fermentation develops slowly—unlocking nuanced character and preserving the soul of the agave.
Step 5 – Double Distillation
Each batch is distilled twice to refine the spirit—balancing strength with elegance. It’s where raw energy becomes polished character.
Step 6 – Aging
Solisca rests in oak barrels for 3 months becoming a Reposado. During this time, it absorbs warm notes of vanilla, spice, and toasted wood—building body, soul, and sophistication.
Step 7 – Filtration and Bottling
Through gentle charcoal filtration, the tequila is stripped of color and harshness—but never of character. The result: a crystal-clear spirit with the depth of a Reposado and the finesse of something entirely new.
